Rosacea (roh-ZAY-sha) is a fairly common but poorly understood disorder of the skin that is characterized by redness in the cheeks, nose, chin or forehead; bumps or pimples on the face; and small visible blood vessels on the face. The National Rosacea Society(NRS) has designated April as National Rosacea Awareness Month to help educate people suffering from rosacea about ways to best control their symptoms as well as educate others who are unaware that they are suffering from this chronic condition.
We offer a variety of solutions for individuals suffering from Rosacea. Cheryl's Soothing Wash is specifically formulated with Wild Cherry Extracts to soothe and calm skin suffering from flare ups. Colorescience also offers many great products that help to soothe and camouflage the trademark redness of rosacea. The Wild to Mild and Line Tamer Sun Reliable Primers are perfect for camouflaging and work great paired with a properly matched foundation to counteract redness. Sun exposure can be another contributing factor to rosacea breakouts and with the Colorescience products you will also get the added benefit of SPF protection and heat insulation for the skin. Finally the Be Still Achromatherapy Spritzer is great to take along to refresh and clam the skin throughout the day. For the month of April Colorescience has introduced the Red to Ready system containing a primer, spritzer and red-camouflaging foundation. If you are interested in trying the Red to Ready system contact our office for a free Trial size system.
At our office specialized treatments are also available to help reduce the appearance of rosacea including the Lamprobe Treatment that helps to remove broken capillaries caused by rosacea.
