The Hydra Facial Skin Treament

The Hydra Facial uses a combination of hydrating treatment solutions and manual exfoliation to cleanse and hydrate the skin.  This treatment is soothing, refreshing, non-irritating and immediately effective.  Hydration is the foundation of healthy, radiant skin.

Can it be used on my skin type?

  The Hydra Facial is designed for all skin types.  Even the most sensitive skin easily tolerates the treatment. Your Skincare professional may custom-blend the treatment serums for your unique skin conditions. 

How long does the treatment take?  Is there any downtime?

  The treatment takes 45 minutes to an hour, with no discomfort and no downtime.  You can put your Colorescience makeup on and return to your normal activities right after the treatment.  Most people report seeing visible skin refinement and even, radiant skin tone after just one treatment.  The smooth results and hydration may last for five to seven days or even longer. 

  A series of six treatments, one treatment each week, is recommended for improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles hyper-pigmentation, and oily/acne prone skin.  After your first series of treatments, you will want to maintain your results with your home care regimen and regular facial treatments every four to six weeks.

The "Seven Deadly Skins" of mineral makeup

#1- If your minerals come in loose form, tap a little bit of your powder into a glass of water and stir.  If the makeup:

• bubbles or foams, it is not just pure minerals
• sinks, it is not properly processed
• muddies up the water, it's not real minerals

Real minerals will float on top of the water, demonstrating how they remain on the surface of the skin, and won't absorb into the water proving how they are very water resistant and offer stable sun protection.  Real minerals are also solid and do not dissolvein water, showing the makeup's camouflaging capabilities and longevity.

#2-  Avoid the "Seven Deadly Skins"

Seven cosmetic ingredients that you want to avoid in your makeup:

• talc
• perfumes
• mineral oil
• harsh preservatives
• drying alcohols
• emulsifiers
• dyes
